Ossum is a fully remote company for numerous reasons. We like the 10-second commute for traffic decongestion, stress management, and environmental reasons. We believe it provides a better work/life balance and greater flexibility for our workers, especially parents.  Ossum's profit sharing is better when we keep our overhead costs lower, so we don't have office space. The knowledge work we do has higher productivity in non-office environments. We can still meet at points in time when group discussions are necessitated. Still, if you don't like video conferencing, you should look elsewhere.

We sponsor, mentor, and contribute directly when it makes business sense.  When a product is not part of our secret sauce, we prefer to make it available to our customers without charge. And yet, the core of all our products, RIDDL, is open source. We believe all good projects start with open-source technology, especially git.
